Personally I think that enchantment control is where you want to be with Zedruu. Enchantment-based removal - Cards like Imprisoned in the Moon and Oblivion Ring don't care about who controls them, so you can safely donate them with no real worries. You'll draw a lot off of Zedruu so you can probably get this back in your hand quickly, or just cast it and wait around for it since you should be at high health and hard to attack anyway. I run a fairly competitive Zedruu deck and the best way to run is to lock the game and then benefit through the lock. Am I going to remove any of them? Also Lab Maniac isn't included since I didn't feel like I needed 3 cards that did the same thing if it isn't my main/only wincon. Zedruu lets me do that. So I decided I would make a commander deck that has a hilarious idea that creates hilarious circumstances, and my playstyle would be absolutely unforgiving. This card was what made me decide to build the deck this way, I really wanted to put it into a deck that wasn't 5 colors. I do want it to, and I think I might get the cards anyway so I can have them on standby if I ever feel like playing bad gifts. I`m trying to build it more like pillowfort and some chaos. I'll check this out, thanks for the link! Zedruu the greathearted EDH Commander / EDH RUW (Jeskai, America) ExiledSenpai. Banner by Ace of Spades Studio CMC: 2.98: ... Zedruu whatever. 1.73 TIX. EDIT: Decklist has been updated and heavily modified. Diffy-Q EDH. You could definitely be a lot meaner with the cards you give (a decent list of potential cards are in the maybeboard), but that isn't really the goal of this deck so I've kept it to a minimum. Stuff like Grid Monitor is cute but won't win you the game. Just switch em out, power level goes down a bit but jank level jumps up. Almost certainly. Tokens - You can always donate away any tokens you generate (creatures from Castle Ardenvale, Treasure tokens), but make sure you make political deals around them, as if you give somebody something they can easily chump block with or treasures they can sacrifice you probably won't draw with it by the time you get to your upkeep. Control Magic. Stax - A lot of Stax cards would be good in this deck, particularly if they're completely symmetric since you can donate them with Zedruu. Zedruu the Greathearted - WUR Group hug EDH What I find more striking is that none of these strategies seems to be more prevalent than the others. Chance Encounter - Similar to Darksteel Reactor, this requires building in a bunch of coinflip cards which don't really fit the deck enough the way I've built it. No. One sided hate is not the way to go since if you get stifled or zedruu gets killed/locked out of the game then you are stuck with dead cards or worse, the downside hurts you. Lands - Using exchange control cards to swap lands with somebody is practically guaranteed draw from Zedruu unless people run land destruction. Again, it helps to make deals so that they don't swing into blockers/chump block with it so you can get more draws. Too bad that celestial dawn doesn't work anymore, I never got the chance to try it. Auras - Again, cards like Paradox Haze and Sisay's Ingenuity can be donated without changing their effects. Zedruu the Greathearted - WUR Group hug EDH Probably, but it's just not the gameplay experience I'm looking for based on my playgroup. ZEDRUU - Zedruu, The Greathearted is by far my favorite MTG deck- this is an attempt to make it stand proudly against competitive decks. Don't mind losing green and black. Recursion that turns your enchantments into beatsticks. Privacy statement | I've played vs that man piloting that deck a ton. $0.59.
